Dear Magic Sparks Applicant

Thank you for your interest in our arts-infused preschool program, Magic Sparks. Attached you will find an application for you to complete and return to Creative Spark. You must return the completed application with a $20 non-refundable application fee. Children will be placed according to the date we receive the completed application and $20 fee. Be sure to indicate a 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd choice. As registration time comes near for future years, you will have the opportunity to update your application so just answer the questions as best as you can for the moment.

Below are general program descriptions and tuition information for the 2006-2007 school year. We encourage you to visit between the hours of 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM Monday - Friday. Please be aware that tuition and programs are subject to change for future years.

We offer the following options for young children ages 3-5 years old:

(Children must be 3 years old and potty trained by September 1^st of the term they will attend).

Early Birds: Participants may register for and arrive early 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week at a rate of $5 per day before preschool begins. Incidental drop-offs will be permitted on a space available basis (for Magic Sparks only) at the rate of $10 per morning. Please register if you even think you’d like to take advantage of this option so that you can take advantage of the $5.00 fee. You can be flexible with your choice of days depending upon your needs when school actually begins.

Magic Sparks arts infused preschool is a multi-age, arts infused preschool program with 12 children ages 3-5 and two dedicated teachers. At Magic Sparks, we believe that learning can happen at any moment! Our child-centered approach engages children in language, literature, and mathematical concepts through a variety of multi-sensory experiences. Our lead teachers have rich early childhood backgrounds and masters degrees. Detailed qualifications goals and objectives are available. Our curriculum includes literature, free play, art, journal writing, small and large group work, cooking, construction, science, math, computer opportunities and lots of interaction with teachers. The program features visiting artists from Creative Spark’s faculty who teach music, movement, visual art, clay, drama, and Spanish. Children also attend performances several times a year hosted in the building. Children may attend 2, 3 or 5 days per week.

Learning Extensions is a project-based experience for our oldest students ages 4 ½ to 5 years old. Designed to meet the needs of children who just miss the kindergarten cut-off date, this is a small group of eight students and gives children optimum learning experiences that expand upon the preschool program with additional emphasis on academic skills.

Monday through Friday-- after preschool until 2:00 PM.

Picnic Pals: Participants will bring lunch and stay after Magic Sparks to play with their friends and have a picnic lunch. Participants may register for 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week at a rate of $5 per day. Children will be permitted to stay if there is any availability at the rate of $10 per day.

Tuition & Billing Procedures:

If you are offered placement in the above-mentioned programs, you will be asked to send in a $100.00 deposit within one week of notification. Once we receive your confirmation, the deposit is non-refundable. If we do not receive your confirmation by the date specified, your spot will be offered to another applicant. Currently, the registration process begins in February of the preceding year.

The deposit will be applied to your first tuition payment, which will be billed in August.

Tuition will be due on the first of each month. The amount of tuition is determined by the total number of days of school. Our calendar is based on a 32-week schedule, which includes teacher workdays. The full amount will be divided into nine equal monthly payments regardless of how many days we have school each month. You will not be billed for vacation days.
