Embracing the Creative Pause

The past year, I've thought a lot about 'the pause' as part of creativity. It's easy to judge ourselves when we aren't in the active development part of a creative process. But the pause is essential! It's the lifeforce behind innovation. You know, how brilliant thoughts arrive while taking a shower or how going on a walk is part of working on ideas or stepping way from a document gives new perspective when you return. We must clear space for the creative pause in order to bring our most innovative selves to work and life.
